The services provided by Buckfield Group to retail and construction oriented clients is also provided on nuclear licensed sites. The same focus on safe working practices, detailed methodologies and assessment of risk is applied across all Buckfield activities, but is particularly relevant on such sites.

Buckfield Group have been active on a number of nuclear licensed sites for some ten years, during this time we have provided demolition, decommissioning and construction related services to a variety of clients, including Hertel, RWE NUKEM, UKAEA and Johnson Controls, and continue to do so.

Since the demolition of the A40 complex of buildings on the Winfrith site back in 1998, Buckfield Group have undertaken some 60 separate projects on such sites. Culminating recently in the removal of the Zebra reactor complex, Winfrith Technology Centre, for UKAEA.

Our comprehensive understanding of requirements on such sites has enabled us to provide ever improving levels of service delivery, coupled with an ever broadening scope of work.

From the provision of classified workers for the removal of active drainage lines, through to complete demolition of cooling towers, containment buildings and active handling facilities, our in depth experience and expertise in such circumstances is repeatedly bringing benefits to our clients.
